![]() I tried this method but it didnt work. I took the example for 1.12.2 and changed the filename from OptiFine1.12.2HDUE2.jar to OptiFine1.12.2HDUE3.jar in the JSON file (cause Im using the newest Optifine version for 1.12.2). Its showing me a bunch of errors in the console and the game isnt even launching. I tried a second method, I extracted Optifine to have the mod file itself: OptiFine1.12.2HDUE3MOD.jar. I tried installing it in the Mod tab and now the game launches but I get a Shutting down internal server and Unkown error when the game try to get me in the world. I think it generates the world successfully because if I launch the game again I can see that the world is still in the list. Optifine For Minecraft 1.12 How To Do ItIve seen in forums that I should install Optifine as a Forge Mod but I dont understand how to do it. How you usually install shaders in multiMC: in multiMC, make a new instance with the version 1.12.2 under edit instance click version. This can up to today only work on 1.12.2, so youre good. Once youve done this: add the.jar file of the optifine to the mods folder. Make sure the optifine is suited for 1.12.2. You can do this by clicking the Minecraft folder button in the main menu, whilst having the instance you want to mod selected. You can check this by looking for video options onder settings in Minecraft, and then check if you can find a detail settings and animation settings button. If no optifine interface is to be found under settings in game, something went wrong. Maybe try restarting your pc once you have done this, to make sure. Optifine For Minecraft 1.12 Zip File To TheClose Minecraft and add the shaderpack zip file to the shaderpack folder. Again, you can find this folder by by clicking the Minecraft folder button in the main menu, whilst having the instance you want to mod selected. You can activate the shader pack ingame, by selecting the shaderpack under video settings shaderpacks If it works, rightclick the instance, click rename and change the name of the instance to coolfresh12 is a pretty cool guy After this, you can even add the life in the village mod to the mods folder, the same way, or even before you install the shaders. I havent personally tried this method, but try to check if everything worked like this. Life in the Village is not a mod but a modpack so it comes with roughly 130 mods. Optifine would launch but I could not get ingame as my game always crashed. To make it work simply I just stopped using MultiMC and I installed the twitch app. Then I downloaded optifine and I just put the jar file into the mod folder and done. It works and everything is fine Thanks for your suggestion though Continue this thread View entire discussion ( 4 comments) More posts from the MultiMC community Continue browsing in rMultiMC rMultiMC Discussion and Suggestions for MultiMC( ).
